Hi! My name is Chloe, and I am a student from Connecticut passionate about environmental health and scientific research. Growing up near local waterways and visiting Taiwan every summer sparked my interest in understanding how water quality impacts community health, which led me to create ColiCast, a research initiative that uses geospatial and temporal modeling to predict E. coli contamination risks. Through this project, I have made water quality information more accessible and helped communities better understand and respond to environmental health risks. Outside of research, I enjoy playing trombone in my school's band and leading community service initiatives. I am excited to become a Water Challenge Ambassador because I believe protecting our water resources requires collaboration, education, and meaningful action. I am also looking forward to participating in the monthly water quality tests and using these experiences to better understand and advocate for the health of our local waterways. I hope to use this opportunity to share my passion for water quality monitoring, learn from others around the world, and inspire communities to take an active role in protecting one of our most important resources!
